Search Tips
- Searches are not case sensitive.
- Searching for multiple words connects them with OR by default. Matching records can contain any of the words.
- Connect multiple words with AND if you only want to see records containing both words.
- Use quotation marks to search for a phrase.
- Place an asterisk (*) at the end of a word as a wildcard.

Black and white photo (unframed) depicts Sister Alice Smith (1884-1935), at Hancock, MA, Church Family, sitting at a loom with a shuttle in her hand. On back of photo is written in black ink "Sister Alice Smith/Hancock Shakers" (presumably E.D. Andrews writing), also stamped "From Blackington Service/9 Hamilton Place/Boston." Sr. Alice became a valued friend of the Andrews'.
