   Sister Jennie Pettiff (Petiff) (36) and Sister Catherine Pepper standing arm in arm on the road. Jennie (Sanuncha) 14 and Rena (Rhyma) Pettiff, Bulgarian girls admitted August 14, 1900. Rena, a "hopeful consumptive" taken charge of by North Adams authorities, died December 17, 1930. Catherine Pepper was at East Family from April 25, 1895. Appointed elder sister there on May 2, 1897.

    Black and white. This barn may be built into the side of a hill. There is a large double-door with a ladder leaning against it. A little roof is over this door; it is supported by four cables. It seems that the ground slopes down so that the other side of this building has another level under this one. There is a cupola with a weather vane pointing SE.
