Rena, a "hopeful consumptive" taken charge of by North Adams authorities, died December 17, 1930. Catherine Pepper was at East Family from April 25, 1895. Appointed elder sister there on May 2, 1897.

Thomas Damon, Enfield, CT (future Ministry Elder) Encased, in intact brown wood case, American flag on outside of top lid (popular in the period of Civil War) with fancy orange velvet inside. The bottom lid with gilded casing contain the oval image of a young man (in Shaker-like attire); cheeks sligthly colored pink. Attached to the case is a SKINNER label.
