Description School desk designed for six students; it is actually one long table with six compartments- three on each side- four straight rectangular legs which taper smaller in width from top to bottom; legs are mortised and tenoned into underside of desk top; cherry wood stained a medium brown and has a light coat of varnish applied; narrow strips of wood separate one compartment from another; has three additional little sections one ach side of a narrow horizontal strip of wood; individual desk covers open from back to front and are secured in the front by means of two bolt-type hinges at each end of the individual desk compartments; underside of desk is also stained; some pieces of wood are missing from down near the bottom of one of the legs; desk tops are heavily marred and scratched; each lid to desk opens by means of round brass knobs and catches; each individual compartment has a relatively deep section for storage of such things as pens, pencils, etc.;
