Description Wooden; small barrel like pot; has been stained yellow ochre; made up of staves and has two metal hoops or bands going around circumference of the pot; one band is down near the bottom and is still natural metal; the other band is near the top and was originally painted yellow ochre, but the paint ahs come off in several places; has three wooden feet that are actually extensions of the staves; wooden handle that is moveable, secured to chamber pot by two peg-like dowels at either side of the pot; cover to chamber pot is wood; round in shape with a peg-like knob in the center for lifting; inside of chamber pot has been painted brown; tapers to a narrower circumference from bottom to the top; impressed into underside of pot are initials, D.M."
