Description |
Front of postcard has a white border around a black and white photograph of the long barn at Canterbury. A Shaker woman, identified as Bertha Lindsay, can be seen walking in front of the barn. Writing on the back of the postcard reads: "Long barn - originally had barrell type ceiling inside - was boarded over in conventional style by non-shaker farmer who kept cattle there. Now covered with Johns Manville siding - Burned 1973" There are three copies of this postcard with the same Object ID, two of which have writing on the back that identify the smaller structure on the right as Elder R. Blinn's bee-house. |
