A postcard showing a plan of the Church Family buildings at the Shaker Village at Alfred, Maine. This plan or map was drawn by Joshua H. Bussell in 1845. The original map is in the Library of Congress. This image comes from "Shaker Village Views" by Robert P. Emlen which was publish by University Press of New England in 1987. This postcard is a reply card allowing a person to respond to the Museum of Art at the Rhode Island School of Design to let them know if they plan to attend the reception for Shaker Village Views. |
