Monkey Wrench, 78" x 92", hand pieced, 340 blocks, cotton, some cotton/poly, yellows/pinks/multi-color, hand quilted (9 stitches per inch), back to front binding, poly batting, cotton backing in blues Pattern: #1646a, Brackman Three-hundred and forty blocks, each measuring 4 ½" square, are set side by side, seventeen by twenty. Blocks alternate having a dark center and outer triangles, with a light center and outer triangles. The center of the quilt has four blue-background blocks around a light block, then orange blocks to suggest a border midway around the center. A line of reds closer to the edge combine to form a medallion pattern of blocks. There is no border. |
